The challenge
R&G Dental, a dental practice in Manchester, were fitting out a surgery and chose a refurbished Belmont Voyager 3 dental treatment centre — a premium, dependable chair built to handle a busy patient list day in, day out, at a lower cost than buying brand new. With the room prepped and empty, ready and waiting for the chair, they needed a dental equipment supplier who could deliver, install and commission the refurbished unit correctly and get the surgery ready for use.
A dental chair installation is more than dropping a chair into place. It means connecting water, compressed air, suction, waste and mains electrics; getting the treatment centre perfectly level and secure; and proving that every function — the chair movements, delivery arm, handpiece lines and suction — works exactly as it should before a single patient sits down. Because the surgery was empty and prepared in advance, there was no disruption to R&G Dental's other surgeries — so we could focus purely on a clean, correct installation.
What we did
- Confirmed the services, layout and access in the prepared surgery ahead of the installation day
- Delivered the refurbished Belmont Voyager 3 dental treatment centre to site in Manchester
- Positioned, levelled and secured the chair in the empty, ready surgery
- Connected and pressure-checked the water, compressed air, suction and drainage, and wired in the electrics
- Commissioned the unit and calibrated every function — chair movements, delivery arm, handpiece lines, suction and operating light
- Fully function-tested the treatment centre against manufacturer specification
- Handed over with a walkthrough of day-to-day use and cleaning, and left the surgery ready to bring into service
The result
The refurbished Belmont Voyager 3 was supplied, installed and commissioned first time in July 2026 — a premium dental treatment centre fitted properly, with no lingering snags to chase afterwards. R&G Dental's surgery was ready to bring straight into service.
